Eikind has been a part of Norwegian metal scene for quite a while already (either as a band member or a session recording musician). Previously Eikind was in a black metal band called Khold. Eikind (the band) hasn't released any album yet, and this EP is their first recorded performance. Currently Eikind is working on a new CD called "Fucking Ratfest".

Musically Eikind doesn't offer anything new... The songs are quite mediocre and boring. There aren't any highlights on this album, but all the songs are equally bad (they're below average). There are only few "ok" riffs, which aren't enough to save this album.

Production on this EP is quite bad. I value well-recorded music, and on this album distortion occurs quite often. Also the sounds aren't powerful enough, and the guitar tone needs work.

I doubt that I'll ever insert this CD to my player again. Overall, I'm disappointed at Eikind's EP (and therefore I don't have any hopes regarding their upcoming full-length album). So it's up to you. I don't recommend this EP to anyone but as tastes do differ, you might find this album interesting (which I personally doubt).
