Eternals is the fifth album from German traditional heavy metal band Seventh Avenue. I haven't listened to this group before, and after listening their latest album 'Eternals' I know the reason why. Seventh Avenue's Eternals is rather insipid classic heavy metal album. It doesn't offer anything new to the genre, nor does it excel at any certain aspect and moreover it has poor production.

The music on this album is moderate. It's traditional metal without any big surprises. Eternals is an average effort, which doesn't possess a lot of originality. Due to the lack of freshness, this release doesn't appeal to me a lot. However, the songs are rather well-performed.

The production on this album is weak. I believe it's due to the quality of pre-production (the quality of original recordings). Every now and then the recordings even contain some background distortion. Albums that have been mastered by Sascha Paeth usually have good production, but Eternals seems to be an exception of the rule.

Because of the frailties of this album, I find 'Eternals' rather uninteresting release. Yet, some listeners of classic heavy metal may find Eternals worth listening. With better production and a touch of innovativeness, Eternals could be a good album.
