The third album of the German industrial metal band Das Scheit (what a promising name...) was released about a month ago... titled as 'Superbitch' and full of "catchy" industrial metal, this album is destined to become the favorite among the fans of the band - or is it?

The music on this album starts out as a rather groovy industrial metal with some influences taken from the modern metal and electronic genres. Occasionally the material is rather good, but at times the quality of music decreases by a few notches, and thus the listener becomes indifferent regarding the music. However, mostly the music isn't too bad. Nonetheless, there aren't a lot of hooks on the songs although that's what industrial metal is all about. As with most industrial metal acts, the singer isn't very good but instead he uses some effects and such to hide the fact that he can't sing very well.

The production is one of Superbitch's strengths, since it has been mixed and mastered rather well. Actually the mixing and mastering was handled by Eroc, who's quite known from his work with artists such as Voodoo Cult and Philip Boa not to mention pop act Tic Tac Toe. All in all, Das Scheit's new album is ok... it may appeal to certain fans of the genre, but listening before buying is definitely recommended.
