One of today's most unpredictable bands Swan Christy has finished its fifth album titled as 'A Decent Album'. Those who are familiar with the band already know that Swan Christy changes its sound on each of their album (you never know what the next album will sound like). This time 'round Swan Christy has gone for a very experimental style sharing some resemblance to progressive rock and electronic music. In addition, pop rock influences are quite obvious on 'A Decent Album' as well (among some influences taken from oriental music). For some reason I get Saga vibe from the "Rehearsal Recording", probably due to the chorus. The absolute strength of Swan Christy is the vocalist Kostas Makris, whose voice is very good. As earlier stated, the music is best described as being experimental, although the label uses the following genre description: "Swan Christy's musical orgies"- This album has been produced rather well, since the sounds are atmospheric yet very detailed. The mastering has been done rather well, and the only complaints I have regarding the production of this album are quite minor. In case you're a fan of experimental music that has superb vocals, and aren't afraid of electronic music, you might find Swan Christy worth getting acquainted with. However, keep in mind that this isn't a rock album, so listening before buying is advised for those who are more into rock music than laid-back, melodic "pop" music.
