Tommy Emmanuel is one of the most successful artists of Australia. During his career the grammy-nominated artist has collaborated with Chet Atkins, Robben Ford and Larry Carlton among others. There's not a doubt about Emmanuel's skills when one hears him play... Endless Road is an all-acoustic record, which reflects Emmanuel's diverse playing style in the best possible way. Throughout the years of touring, Emmanuel has found out that his true voice as a performer originates from acoustic guitar. On Endless Road you'll hear the fingerpicking master at work: everything from beautiful melodies to profluent rhythms are included on this album. There's even one a cappella song (Today Is Mine), which really shows that Tommy Emmanuel doesn't stick to genre restrictions. Actually Emmanuel never composes or plays specifically one genre or another, but instead he plays what he feels. Thus the result is usually refreshing, inventive song. The sounds on Endless Road are full, articulate and atmospheric, so there's not much to complain about the production - both Kim Person and Bill Wolf have handled their jobs proficiently. All in all, Endless Road is a must-have album for the fans of Tommy Emmanuel. Visit Artist's Website - MAGE (April 14th, 2005) « back
