The fourth Kill the Thrill album is titled as Tellurique. Although the band already has quite much experience, it doesn't show from this release (at least not regarding the compositions). It's a shame, since this band has more originality than the average band has.

The music on Tellurique is a unique mix of metal, industrial, new wave and post-rock. However, as much as I do love diversity, the music has to be good too... unfortunately, on Tellurique the songs aren't too memorable. Occasionally there are some good parts, but mostly the songs are rather monotonous. In addition, Nicolas Dick's not-in-any-way-great voice doesn't help Kill the Thrill to stand out from the rest. Most of the songs are in English, but there are also two songs included that are sung in French. On "Soave", for example, the French vocals provided a nice change, although the track has a spelling error in case it was meant to be French (it should have been suave).

The production on this album is ok... nothing spectacular, but on the other hand there aren't any grave defects either. All in all, this is rather middling release. Some may enjoy listening to Tellurique, but the majority probably won't.
