Resuscitator is a band that is hailed as the missing link between Immortal and Enthroned by Displeased Records. Well, I won't comment whether that's a felicitous description or not. However, I'll tell what Resuscitator's second full length record "A Warrior's Death" has to offer. The music is brutal mix of black metal and occult death metal. At times there are rather successful sections, but on the whole the music on this album isn't too impressive. Nevertheless, the fans of this band and genre will most likely find this album worth giving a shot at (although the short length is discouraging).

The vocals have been brought forward in the mix, which is rather surprising considering Sacbe's voice isn't especial in any way. Unfortunately, the sounds on this album aren't too good either... the distorted guitars could have sounded better, and I also wish the drums would have sounded more assertive. Nonetheless, "A Warrior's Death" remains slightly above the average effort in this specific genre, mainly due to its somewhat original approach.
