The Swedish hard rockers Baltimoore have finished their seventh album "Fanatical", which contains ten punchy rock tunes. As ever the music is founded on groovy rhythm section and Björn Lodin's charismatic yet rough vocal lines. The material is of rather steady quality and the sounds are to the point... only the originality of the music clearly has room for improvement. However, releases falling under the category of hard rock seldom are truly imaginative.

Mixing and mastering took place at BLP Studio, Rättvik (Sweden) where Björn Lodin and Mankan Sedenberg ensured the album will sound as good as possible. There isn't any distortion present and all the recordings are clean... nonetheless, the mix still could have been better in some ways. For a hard rock album, however, the sounds on this record are really fitting.

Overall, Baltimoore's Fanatical is really good rock album, which I warmly recommend to every listener who appreciates honest straight forward hard rock.
