Deep emotions, epic soundscapes, diverse musicianship coupled with creativity - yes, a new Morse record is indeed ready. As one might have guessed, the theme of this record is religious (as with the previous Morse albums). "?" deals with what Neal Morse believes to be the mysteries of the God. I've got to admit that some parts do sound heavenly, though - no pun intended.

Together with Morse on this album perform Mike Portnoy and Randy George. In addition, several guest musicians give their own flavour to the music (namely, Jordan Rudess, Alan Morse, Roine Stolt and Steve Hackett). The musical styling of "?" is classic prog rock with a hint of jazz and blues. Instead of insane prog gimmickry, this record focuses on melodies and, above all, the songs. This is what truly makes "?" an enjoyable prog album to listen to in the long run.

The productional quality of this record is fairly high and doesn't offer a change for pointing out any errors. Be sure not to miss this release, if you're into classic prog rock.
