Unreal is the debut album of Finnish industrial rock group End of You. I actually gave this band a listen already quite a while ago, since they had most of this album's songs available for download on their website. The music End of You performs is fairly traditional pop-oriented industrial rock, on which they've added a hint of sluggish metal (low-tempo). Unfortunately also the group's vocalist is similar to most vocalists on the industrial music scene (not the greatest singer)... he has a rather colourless, neutral voice. Though it's ok, I would've liked to hear more passion and feeling on his delivery.

The material on this record is of varying quality. Some songs are really good, while others don't quite make it. Nonetheless, as a whole Unreal is fairly enjoyable album. To name some highlights, I'd recommend listening to Rome and Twisted Mind.

Production of Unreal has been handled rather well. The sounds are apt, and there's not much reason to point one's finger at anything. Give this album a listen in case you've got a soft spot for industrial rock.
