A new melodic rock group that plays eighties-infused rock music emerges from Finland. Namely, Brother Firetribe, which is a band featuring guitarist Emppu from Nighwish. As well it might, Brother Firetribe doesn't have anything new to offer to the genre, instead they explore this well-known music styling thoroughly and borrow ideas here and there - rather fortuitously, if I may add. The result is fittingly titled as False Metal, an album full of appealing melodic rock tunes sharing similarity to some well-known groups such as Van Halen among others.

The sounds on this record are rather befitting, and overall False Metal is fairly good album. Although there are people who think that the rock-era of eighties should be forgotten and not explored further, some still prefer music of this style. I believe that Brother Firetribe has good chances at success (especially in Japan), since their tunes are rather memorable - the album opener "Break Out" immediately burrows to one's mind and stays there. Regardless, towards the end this album loses some of its shimmer.
