Bedlam offers foretaste of the upcoming Twilightning album. On Bedlam the group has oriented more towards melodic rock from their power metal roots. Though Twilightning's tongue-in-cheek approach may be appealing at times, it isn't that nice when overdone (which unfortunately happens on this record). Nevertheless, Bedlam does have its moments, and makes a slightly mixed impression on its listener - it puts the listener a bit on guard regarding their upcoming album.

Bedlam was produced by none other than the same production team as the debut: Anssi Kippo producing, and both mixing and mastering were handled at Finnvox by Karmila and Jussila. The sounds are really apt for the genre, and overall there's not much reason to point one's finger at anywhere. Regardless, the musical offerings on this record are slightly too traditional every now and then. In addition, Pyhi, the vocalist, could be better - some of his high-pitched shrieks aren't that pleasing to the ear - it's also kinda amusing to note that he's credited for backing vocals as H.M.I.
