Shade Empire has changed their label from Italian Avantgarde Music to Finnish Dynamic Arts Records. Now with their newfound record company the group releases their second album Intoxicate O.S. Shade Empire plays dark atmospheric black metal with a strong focus on melodies. Each song is infused with electronic synth patterns that breathe life into the tracks.

The overall quality of the material on this record is quite good, though not that many songs manage to really astonish the listener. Regardless, each song has something good about it, but it's a shame that there are also quite many less successful sections here and there (those parts just make the listener anxiously wish they'd be soon over).

The production on Intoxicate O.S. is OK, though it's nothing phenomenal. The sounds are quite good although they definitely could have been better regarding some areas. Both drums and guitars weren't that impressive tone-wise, while vocals and keyboards delivered well. As a whole, Intoxicate O.S. is still quite intriguing melodic black metal album that most likely appeals to majority of the fans of this genre.
