Killswitch Engage has made quite a name for themselves in the metalcore scene, and their fourth album 'As Daylight Dies' only strengthens their position. The group has introduced more melodies and clean sections to their songs thus making the material slightly more diverse. Regrettably, however, the songs still sound pretty similar on average, and hence listening to this record several times in a row makes the listener grow weary of the material for a while. Regardless, few songs are clearly above the rest and I've noticed myself returning to listen to this album from time to time.

Adam Dutkiewicz decided to handle the production himself, and I must admit the album sounds rather good. Unfortunately some clipping/distortion occurs every now and then, but other than that there's not much to complain.
