Female trio playing thrash metal with attitude... admittedly quite unusual sight, but that's what Kamala is all about, and judging by their first demo this group fares well with their straightforward riffs and catchy refrains. The songs evolve quite nicely, and overall this demo is quite gripping. While the songwriting is of good quality, the production on this record has few shortcomings. The overall sound is rather compressed and it feels as if there's a low-pass filter running through the whole mix. Regardless, the sounds suit the music well, and all in all Peto is a pretty good first offering by this Finnish metal band.
