The finnish metal group Sear made quite an impact to the press with their debut record "Begin the Celebrations of Sin". The second album of this band playing dark atmospheric death metal bordering with black metal is called Lamentations of Destruction. The title is rather fitting, as it perfectly covers the thematic basis of the album. Perhaps one of the biggest hindrances for Sear's success is the lack of originality - there are a lot of melodic death metal groups already using the same pattern as Sear. Nonetheless, Lamentations of Destruction is fairly enjoyable record to listen with its gripping grooves and melodic passages interplaying with brutal madness. Visit Artist's Website
